The 5Ws are “Who”, “What”, “Where”, “When”, and “Why”.
The 1H is “How”.
5Ws and 1H Framework Breakdown
What: Focuses on the specific subject, event, or issue being examined. For example : “What do we need to do?”.
Why: Investigates the reasons or motivations. For example : "Why do we need to do it?”.
Who: Identifies the people involved, such as stakeholders, participants, or target audience. For example: “Who is responsible for this project?”.
Where: Pinpoints the location or geographical scope. For example : "Where should it be done?”.
When: Sets the timeline or time frame. For example : "When does it need to be done?".
How: Explores the method, process, or steps involved. Example: “How will we do it?”.
